We offer Trofimov bassoon bocals in three metal alloys; unplated German silver, unplated Goldbrass and unplated Bronze. Because they are thin walled (0.5 mm) these bocals project well and are easy to play with minimal resistant. The German silver bocals have a robust, forward sound , the goldbrass are a bit warmer, and the Bronze bocals have a focused, sweet sound. All Trofimov bocals play well in the upper registers, but the high note versions are made with extra nickel and the slightly harder alloy really makes those high notes pop!
